RUF: WHAT IT IS.

Quote of the Week:

"Let us turn our attention from our own performance, whether it seems good or bad to us, and look to the gospel of Jesus Christ, which is God's provision for our sin, not only on the day we trusted Christ for our salvation but every day of our Christian lives."  -Jerry Bridges, The Discipline of Grace

EXCITING NEWS!!  WE RAISED OVER $175 FOR HAITI RELIEF EFFORTS!  YAHOO!!

GIRLS' LUNCH 2/3:

Come join Casey (intern) for lunch in the UC lobby at 12pm for girls' lunch!  **NOTE:  We will be eating IN THE CAF.

LARGE GROUP 2/4:

This week Brad will be teaching on holiness.  How do we live in a way that honors God when it's so much easier to do what comes naturally?  How do we fight this battle well and live according to the hope God has given us?  Come for teaching, fellowship, and worship, and join us at Steak N' Shake afterwards!

BIBLE STUDIES:

Large group teaching is an important part of RUF, but it's certainly not the only part.  One of the main points of this campus ministry is for y'all to develop relationships in which you learn from and challenge one another, and one of the best ways for y'all to do that is to participate in a Bible study.  They start the week of Jan. 18th.  Here are a few opportunities:

Freshman-

Galatians with Brad (Campus Minister) and Casey (Intern).  We'll meet Mondays at 8pm in the UC, room 132!

Upper Class Girls-

James with Heidi McLaury and Gwen Kyser.  Meets Tuesdays at 7pm at Brad's office.

-or-

Casey's study:  Under construction.  E-mail her for details if you're interested.

Brad's office is at 5640 Oakwood Rd. NW  Huntsville, AL.

Upper Class Guys-

Ecclesiastes with Chase Stephenson and Matt Wright.  Meets Mondays at 7pm at Southwood Pres. Lodge.

-or-

Ephesians with Garrett Gammon and Luke Adams.  Meets Tuesdays at 8pm at their apartment.

For more information on any of these (i.e. directions), call Brad or Casey for assistance.

FALL CREEK FALLS 2/19-2/21:

Winter conference!  Come spend a weekend in the mountains with other RUF students from Alabama, Tennessee, and Kentucky!  We'll listen to a speaker (John Stone-phenomenal, I can personally vouch for that.), have small groups, and hang out and have a general good time!  You really don't want to miss this!  If you want the discounted price, you must register by February 4th.  If you need financial assistance, you need to talk to Brad by the 4th as well.

SUPER BOWL PARTY 2/7:

Come watch the super bowl at Brad and Caroline's!  It'll start at 5pm.  Bring $3 for pizza and your game faces!!
